Week eight in Room One.

Welcome to another week of photos from our awesome classroom, it has been a great week with a number of new faces coming on visits, swimming every day at the Aquatic Centre, Loud Shirt Day on Friday and the Scholastic Book Fair in our library. Enjoy the photo record!
Welcome to Boston who had his first school visit this week.

Mrs Corcoran came to take us swimming on Thursday afternoon.

Bible in schools with Lesley and her old bear, Rupert.

Ella is dressed up in our Bible lesson like a person from Jesus' time.

Sharing time, a great opportunity to share our toys with our friends.

Rylee was visiting too this week. He will join our class after the holidays.

Loud Shirt Day- some of our class.

Tyler is so excited about his goggles and swimming lesson he wore them to show and tell!

More loud shirts!

We have been learning to sort and group in Maths this week - this is a group of children with brown hair.

Clifford the dog knocked on our window today! He came with the book fair and children have been looking for him ever since!

This group of loud shirts completes our class.

Ben has a zero waste lunch box. We are working towards this at school now we are an Enviroschool. Tubs and boxes rather then 'sad' wrap (Glad wrap is sad wrap as it cannot be re-used or re-cycled and has to go to landfill) are welcomed.

This group of children have blond hair.

Lexi came on her first school visit too this week.

More hair grouping - light brown this time.

Buddy reading with our Buddy class, Room 7.

Swimming lessons are super fun. We have had lessons every day this week and will continue with these next week also - the progress the children are making is fabulous, every day they get more confident in the water!
 DISCOVERY TIME.
Discovery time on Wednesday - taking turns to lead, making a structure from the big blocks.

Playing with the dinosaurs...

Writers workshop.

Quilt making - we are all contributing to a 'throw'. Mrs Savill is stitching it up and every child is putting their name in vivid on a piece of fabric to end up with an amazing throw for the class to enjoy on the mat - it is so snuggly! The children are amazed it keeps growing.

Sorting us into class groups on day one of swimming.

Carey can nearly float on his back.

Learning to use a kick board.
