Week five in Ngaio. Another week of sickness, sadly.

For Show and Tell we  bring our favourite toys to talk about!

Eli completed his sticker chart.

We experimented with our colour wheels and can spin them to make new colours - red and yellow made a super orange and here you can see the red and blue before making purple whilst spinning.

Colour mixing, using primary colours to make secondary ones and fruit to match - do come and enjoy our display!

Isla filled her second chart too!

We went on a 'listening walk' as a focus for our writing and used our whiteboards to draw the things we heard, not what we could see. We then referred to ur drawn records to decide what we could write about hearing today.

Our letter this week is 'C ' so we made cat masks and learned a little poem to recite for Junior Team Time on Wednesday and shared it with our friends. Can you child remember the words and tell you?
It starts :Pussy cat, Pussy cat, where have you been...?

Experimenting with forces as part of our 'move it' science unit.

In our sign language class we have been talking in pairs in sign and saying what we have and what you have...

You can see how the girls are doing a great job hiding their visuals from each other (everyone had a visual of food, drink, a computer, a hat, a toilet or a book and the task was to tell your partner what you have and ask what they have then check with each other).

Extending our measuring to use non-standard until and starting at the bottom each time.

Cooper and his friends then went on to find out how tall they were in Duplo blocks!

More striking skills...

What a star!

Another star!

And more homework certificates for those who were sick last week....

We have had so many children away this week with illnesses, I hope next week is better! Keep warm, stay home if you are sick and see you when you're fully recovered, lovely children!
