Tyler helped Lockie with his number work, well done Tyler :)

Videl busily writing the next teen number, well done Videl.

Bodie was explaining making groups to Phoenix.

We were learning to draw our eyes using a mirror to get the colours and details correct.

Go, Holly! You have completed your sticker chart too!

Our letter this week was D and we all made ducks to take home.

Judah has filled his sticker chart as well!

One of our favourite numbers songs at the moment is 'One man went to mow" we have been learning to read, write and order our numbers to ten and what number comes after when we add a child and before when we take one away.

Our balance is improving.

It is always good to spend time with friends respecting each other in the sandpit.

Time for left-over lunch.

Sam started school this week, she is loving it!

Elaine brought Bradley's friends to collect him from his school visit this week.

Ordering our numbers - helping each other make decisions.

Using our number line and learning how to take turns and move the correct number of paces on the dice, not going back to the number we have thrown each time!

Holly carefully working out how many paces she needs to move with Sam as her dice roller.

Wow, Lexington can read all the sight words in Room One now!

The alphabet homework in our books has been amazing recently so all those children who have been working away at home and sticking in pictures or drawing things beginning with the letter of the week in their books received a gorgeous certificate this week. they loved them!

REMEMBER next Monday is our rocky shore visit, bring all the items on your note and hope it is a sunny day!
Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Star of the week, week six.

Our special certificate this week goes to Kaden who has shown he has a great attitude to learning and is giving his all in everything he does. He is writing using his great knowledge of letter sounds, his number work is super and he is keen to help others. He is always in the right place at the right time, shows respect to others and is very helpful. Keep it up Kaden you are a star!

Week five in our classroom. Term 1 2015

Ronald McDonald came to talk with us about road safety - the recall of the children as a result of this briefing is fabulous, they know about 'sneaky driveways' and what to do when looking to cross a road!

Our visit to the Life Education Bus was a real success (please pay your $4 if you have not yet!).

Addison enjoyed explaining what our bodies need to stay healthy.

Our letter this week was c and we made caterpillars - they are now crawling on our wall. Our poem was: Caterpillar, caterpillar, crawling on the wall.
Caterpillar, caterpillar, crawl, crawl, crawl!

Mrs Probert came to take the class whilst Mrs Savill was on the planning team for our next whole school wide unit.

Annalise wearing her cat mask - everyone made one to wear home!

Bradley had his first school visit this week,

Here we are getting on to the Life Ed. bus on Wednesday for another educational lesson.

We all chose a puppet friend and thought carefully what would they need to take on an overnight trip to keep  well?

Lexington discovering about our major body organs.

Harold was great fun and explained we need to eat fruit, veggies and meat with only a few lollies.

Wow, Leah, you have filled your sticker chart already!

Playing maths games together.

Visitors from Kindy who will soon be five and join our class!

Buddy reading is great with Room 7.

Videl has completed her first sticker chart too!

Maya was the best writer in Room seven and came to read her writing about tadpoles turning into frogs to our class. Way to go, Maya!

Tens frames in Maths, explaining our thinking to each other.

Lexington has filled his sticker chart as well!!!

We were so fortunate to be given extra castanets by Georgia's grandma, now we have enough to all sing and play the c,k,c,k, song in Jolly Phonics! Thank-you Carol Climo.

Phoenix joined us this week from Australia, welcome Phoenix!

Principal's Challenge Award - Physically Active Learner.

It was an easy decision to choose our Physically Active Learner in Room One as Jackson has a real flair for all sports. He is keen to improve his skills, takes all opportunities which come his way, tries his best and help others. He plays competitively with a true sense of fairness, understands the taking part is as important as winning and is willing to accept when he needs to keep trying. He uses his body well, has excellent throwing skills and is always 'on the go'. Ka Pai!
