Week seven in Ngaio term 1, 2016

Before I forget, would all parents of Maori children please have a look at our school Maori Blog - we are going to be making new signage for the school and would like your expertise - have we translated the signs correctly, are they appropriate? Feedback is welcomed! Thank you.
Ka Pai Emma, completing your first sticker chart!

Show and tell - Ewan's Dad made him a treasure chest! Wow!!

Alex brought his toy drip to show us but the bit is missing, does anyone have a spare?

Lillybelle has a doll which even uses a nappy !

Bella loved looking into the kaleidoscope Zane brought but he is sure it is a saliva scope! Love children language!

Alex won the fruit award last week.

James is onto his Dr Seuss chart now as he has filled two sticker charts.

We are dancing to Hearty Fun and keeping fit.

Puzzle time together, what a super time we had.

Alex has made his puzzle into a garage.

Reading time.

Gosh Ella is the first child I have had who has managed to match all the pairs.

Using our new magnetic writing boards - a real hit from the two dollar shop.

Hand prints for our own books - so tickly.

Signing to each other during N.Z.S.L, we are learning how to sign our feelings to each other.

Kobie was concentrating so well on her visit.

This is Joy and the guide dog Wesley she is training. Joy is visually impaired and came to talk to the whole school about the job guide dogs have.

Discovery, building our new marble run together.

We went to New World as part of our topic on nutrition and healthy eating.

Reta was our guide.

Finding a rainbow of fruit and vegetables was awesome.

We now know which foods are everyday foods and which are for special occasions only.

On the way back to school we stopped our walk to watch a cement mixer and men laying a concrete slab floor.

Time for a snack in the park on the way back - thanks to the helping mums, we could not have gone without you! What a great day!!
