Week Three in Room One.

Welcome to Room One! This is the photo record of our week - as every, lots of great learning - measuring in Maths, learning to jump and throw, discovery time, making special things to use as a focus for our writing, a visitor who taught us origami, many children on school visits - the list is long - I hope you enjoy it!
Welcome to Ryah who started school on Monday.

Nathan came on his first school visit and brought a book he made to share with us about his trip on a boat to Haulashore Island.

Sign Language with Wendy this week - Wendy started to go deaf when she was eleven years old so shared with our class what it is like to be hard of hearing.

Touch Rugby skills - our second week, it was super, the children worked really well together.

Tyler has completed his sticker chart - way to go, Tyler!

Last week we were delighted to receive the 'We Care' award as we are so careful to clear up after ourselves throughout the day. We keep our room clean and tidy - this shield is prized!

In Discovery Time this week we made haunted houses!

This was the last week of measuring in our class and we were learning how to use blocks to measure the length of things. Lexi is measuring rods.

Touch....

Mrs Corcoran was our reliever whilst Mrs Savill was on C.R.T and assessing Maths levels.
Cody was carefully measuring too.

Throwing bean bags using the 'starting low, muscle man throw!'.

Bella found out her rod was five cubes long.

Discovery - "We are making a volcano mountain, the biggest in the world!"

More house making.

After measuring with cubes we were able to apply this knowledge to a worksheet in our Maths books!
