A few weeks in one...

New sticker charts for new children :)

Kindy visit - lots of new faces soon to join our classroom.

We are all learning to skip ready for the Ship-a-thon.

Number line to 20 - some of us can read most of these numerals and we are learning how to count on when laying dice games together.

We have been hunting for the Great White Butterfly - a pest species introduce by mistake to NZ. Fortunately we only found small whites but the children know what they are looking for in terms of a pest species which needs eradicating.

Jack was on a visit to school and his Kindy freinds came to collect him when it was time to return.

Buddy reading with our friends in Room Seven who read their books to us and listen to us reading to them also. Shared reading is great fun and the children are fascinated that older children who were once in Room One can read so many words!

Sharing our books about ourselves we made earlier this term, they are going home for keeps.

Llily is looking forward to making a book next term with the other new children in my class.    





NEXT WEEK (week 10) Deaf Awareness Week.
Monday - Sharing time, bring a toy or something from home to show if you like.
Tuesday - Normal day.
Wednesday - Jump rope for heart (Skip-a-Thon). We will be skipping with Room Two for half an hour from 0910 - 0940, parents welcome to come and watch/join us on the back court - it was mant to be last week but was postponed due to a rain forecast. Library day - please bring back last weeks' book to exchange for a new one.
Thursday - Show and tell as Monday.
Friday - Loud Shirt Day gold coin donation or as much as you can spare for funds for cochlear implants, helping children hear.Wear your loudest shirt mufti day - floral theme if you can :)
End of term.
